How does the Click Map work?

Viewers' clicks on the Twitch player are aggregated and then displayed as a heat map.  The darker an area is reflects that there are more clicks in that area. The visual representations of the clicks will persist longer on streams with less user input and they will disappear more quickly on streams with a high amount of user input.

Clicks are rendered in a visualization URL that broadcasters can add to their broadcasting software as a browser source. The URL can be found in the Overlay config in the Extension Manager on the Twitch Dashboard.

If you ever need to quickly hide or remove the existing click representations  you can simply open and close the browser source, resetting the visualization.
